Make your vote count.

Utah has not elected a non-Republican governor since 1980. To make your voice heard in this year's gubenatorial race, register to vote in the Republican primary.

UTAH ALLOWS YOU TO SWITCH PARTY AFFILIATION AT WILL

You can switch your party affiliation by re-registering to vote whenever you want, and there is no limit on the number of times you may switch. You could re-register every week if you wanted!

Affiliating with a party does not mean you have to vote for their candidate in any general election, it just allows you to participate in that party's primary elections.

UTAH'S PRIMARY PROCESS

On June 30, the Democratic and Republican parties will hold their primary elections. You may only vote in one of these party primaries, and to vote in the Republican primary you must be affiliated with the Republican party.

If you register as a Republican by June 19, your county clerk will mail you a ballot. If you register by the 22, you may still be able to vote in a drive-through polling location.

WHY DARIN MANN MADE THE SWITCH

"To elect a governor that will fight for a future that has a healthy, clean environment for all Utahns to thrive in."

WHY PETER METCALF MADE THE SWITCH

"I certainly believe that registering as a Republican to vote in this primary is absolutely ethical, it's legal, and more than ever it is critical to the future of Utah that you do that."

It's ethical. It's legal. It's critical.

Re-register as a Republican to vote in this primary election. It increases participation in the state, and we must ensure that all Utahns have their say in who will govern us.
Send in your vote, have your say, and then, guess what? You can just switch back on June 30th.
This switch is necessary in order to exercise democracy in our state. It's ethical, legal, and critical.
